Story
The story is about three guys and three girls who dreams of their life with aspiring goals. Anand (Ajay) completes his studies but is in confused state whether to pursue higher studies or get into job. So, he takes a one year break and in the meantime falls in love with his neighbor Archana (Yami) but later comes to know that she is in love with a cricketer Vishnu. The next guy Mahesh (Hayish) dream of becoming an aspiring model. He part ways with Madhavi (Sarayu) and so the latter plays a prank with him by pitching a gay Shailu (Haleem). Raja (Prasad) wants to become a musician. He considers his classmate Rani as sign of bad luck for him however in an unavoidable situation gets married to her. How does the three friends come out of these problems forms the crux.
Performances
Director Ravi Babu succeeded in getting the right cast for the film. Though debutants, all of them have done a good job by getting into the characters. Ajay delivered a decent performance and his role represents most of the youngsters of current generation.
Havish has brought few smiles. He looked good as an aspiring model and has acted with confidence. He still needs to work on his dialogue delivery for promising future.
Prasad gives a notable performance with a good dosage of laughter scenes every now and then. Hailing from Mumbai, he dubbed his own voice which is laudable.
Yami is beautiful and essayed her role quite well. Ramya and Sarayu have done justice to their roles. Others did their bit as required.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography is unique in Ravi Babu’s style. Sekhar Chandra’s music is an asset for the film. The songs are catchy and the background score is appealing. Ravi Babu’s direction is good and to be frank he is the hero of the film. He also added some commercial elements. The screenplay is entertaining and enjoyable though predictable at times.
Analysis
Ravi Babu has aimed at youngsters with a good script and he has delivered it perfectly. He yet again proves that he has the capability to pull the crowds with fresh faces too. His creativity and unique style in filmmaking are the USP of Nuvvila. Though the story is of routine formula, he blended it with entertaining narration by proving that he is a good storyteller. However on the flip side, he could have reduced few irritating scenes and A rated comedy so that it would be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Nevertheless, Nuvvila is an enjoyable film with right ingredients.
Final Verdict
Nuvvila makes a good watch! Go for it!!!
